For this review, your Guide will try to stick to the facts. The Mexico City Airport Hilton is a hotel inside of Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City, Mexico. There was a distinct smell in the hallway and my room. I will not label it as a pleasant or unpleasant smell. But it was an all-permeating smell. There were lightbulbs out. I could hear my neighbor’s television without difficulty. There were three pillows on my bed, standing on their edges, one smaller than the other two. It was unlike any Hilton I have stayed at before. I paid more per night to stay in this hotel than I paid per night to stay at the Quinta Real Oaxaca. You can checkout my review of the Quinta Real Oaxaca here.
Why did I stay at an airport hotel? I should know better.
I do have a bias that hotels inside of airports are like restaurants inside of airports: expensive, with bad sandwiches. But my flight to Mexico was arriving after midnight (Flight Review: Air Canada from Toronto to Mexico City in Business Class) and I was flying out the next morning to Oaxaca. So I made a rash decision. It wasn’t actually the most convenient decision. It turned out my flight to Oaxaca departed from Terminal 2 at Benito Juarez. But the Hilton is in Terminal 1. As I took the train to Terminal 2 the next morning, I saw a Camino Real hotel just outside of the airport, closer to the interterminal train station. Next time, I’ll try that.
Where is the Hilton at Mexico City Airport?
If you’re staying at the Mexico City Airport Hilton, it can be tricky to find.
After you exit the luggage area, turn right and keep an eye out for the KFC or a set of escalators on your right.
If you see any signage around the airport, it might be for a Courtyard Marriott. That was previously in the location where you’ll find the Hilton. As of February 2022, the escalators were still branded for the Marriott.
